Doel van deze set is nog niet duidelijk, ook niet of deze set in FW's setting zal vallen of iets is waar GW zelf mee aan de gang gaat, gezien Heresy-era Tactical Squads geen special of heavy weapons mogen nemen.

Maar, ben wel blij om te zien dat er plastic Cataphractii en MK. IV Maximus armour kits met Tigrus pattern bolters op de markt zullen komen. Er zitten genoeg onderdelen op de sprues voor tien marines met bolters en een marine met een heavy weapon (missile launcher of heavy bolter) en alle special weapons van dat tijdperk (graviton gun, flamer, plasma gun en melta), er zit zelfs een Vexilla bij. Vrees niet, 40k is superieur aan 30k in een heleboel gevallen, vooral wanneer men op lagere puntaantallen speelt, of wanneer je het uit de handen houd van mensen die snel misbruik maken van dingen. Wink

Gespot bij een aantal GW winkels:

Deze nieuwe schapfrontjes gaan die van de Hobbit vervangen. Dat wil zeggen, GW doet overal min of meer de Hobbit weg (word Direct Only tot hun licence voorbij is, dan bye-bye Lord of the Rings!) en gaat hun versie van de Horus Heresy naar voren schuiven als hun derde vlagschip spel.

Daarnaast, korrel zout, maar in zowel November als December word er een boxed set uitgebracht, een met als thema Calth (Ultramarines vs Word Bearers) en de ander Phall (Imperial Fists vs Iron Warriors), dus waarschijnlijk heel veel boarding actions! Iedere set zal een soort van bordspel / self-contained game worden met regels die anders zijn dan 40k. Minis zijn wel gewoon voor 40k, of FW's 30k, te gebruiken.

I guess anyone can email in as an “anonymous source” and be completely wrong about stuff. Here is the low down:
- It is a Boxed game with tiles. (Yes it’s just a box game)
- NO -------- XENOS! This is about the galactic civil war of man. That means no bs Eldar, Tau, Orks,
Necrons, etc. If you hear anyone say there will be rules for Xenos, they are lying to you and they’re a major bs artist. This isn’t 40k, this is 30k and we don’t give a gak what color your Eldar dress is.
- THIS IS NOT A LIMITED RELEASE – this is a boxed game and the models maybe used for Forge World’s Age of Darkness. If you don’t own their books you are missing out.
- Follow up to the last point, BUY THE FORGE WORLD BOOKS THEY ARE OUTSTANDING AND WORTH EVERY DIME OR PENCE (for my English friends).
- The sales of the box will dictate what will be released next, how it will be released and when it will be released. ONCE AGIN, IF THESE SITES SAY THEY KNOW WHAT IS COMING OUT, THEY’RE LYING.
Contents of the Box:
30x Tactical marines MK IV ONLY!
5x Catapharctii Terminators
1x Contemptor with Lascannon and CCW (FW Contemptor arms are interchangeable with the new plastics)
1x Praetor
1x Chaplain
The game box will be the only way to get the models for the initial release. The more you buy the faster the minis will come out in squad form.
